The crisis team will increase the capacity of the Centro Libertador Betico Croes vaccination center to 3000 vaccines daily

ORANJESTAD - Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes announced that starting this week the crisis team is working to increase the vaccination capacity.

Vaccinated persons per April 6, 2021Aruba received 12 thousand additional vaccines from the Netherlands, making it possible to vaccinate more people.

Till April 6, 2020, there is a total of 33.493 vaccines administered, of which 11.601 persons received their first shot, while 10.946 received their second shot and are fully vaccinate. Hence in total there are 22.547 persons vaccinated.

Vaccination center Centro Libertador Betico CroesStarting next week Crisis Team will increase the Centro Libertador Betico Croes vaccination center capacity to 3000 persons per day. At the moment it is not possible to accommodate this many people. Hence, changes are being made so that next week this problem will be solved to be able to vaccinate three thousand persons per day.

“Everyone who did already register will get their appointment in the coming one to two weeks. All persons who registered will get their vaccine. Now it is up to the persons who did not register as yet. We have the vaccines and if needed we will get more. We need to reach 70 to 80% percent of our population to get a vaccine for us to say that we are protected. We count on you!”, the Prime Minister declared.
