ORANJESTAD - The Department of Public Health (DVG), is once more clarifying that Covid19 testing is not a service they offer.

Covid-19 tests are only done at the hospital and labs on Aruba.

Coronavirus COVID-19 If you are a resident and you need to get tested for Covid-19, you should contact your family physician who in turn will register you for your Covid-19 test at the Lab of the hospital. The Lab of the Hospital will contact you for your appointment.

If you are a tourist or local and require a test for traveling purposes, please contact one of the following numbers:

  • 5974522
  • 2800630
  • 5920709

The test for traveling purposes is also done by the lab of the hospital and not by the DVG.

Coronavirus COVID-19 A plea to the community; if you did contact your family physician and were told you needed to be tested and have not yet received the appointment notification from the Lab, please contact your family physician once more. In the past days, the DVG has been receiving numerous emails and calls from the community for their Covid-19 test, and unfortunately, the DVG cannot be of any help, since they are not performing any Covid-19 tests.

The DVG is emphasizing the fact that they do not do Covid-19 testing and contacting them by email or by phone instead of their family physician, only delays the entire process.
