TV series “Aruba Strong and Resilient – Reactivating our Economy” presenting the SISSTEM project

ORANJESTAD – The Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture, Xiomara Maduro announced that TeleAruba will broadcast the next program of the TV series ‘Aruba Strong and Resilient – Reactivating our Economy” on Wednesday, January 27 at 7 pm.

This program will focus on the Sustainable Island Solutions for Science, Technology, and Mathematics project - SISSTEM.

Broadcast TV series ‘Aruba Strong and Resilient – Reactivating our Economy” on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 7 pm on TeleAruba with as topic the SISSTEM project.During this program, the Minister will provide information about SISSTEM, answering questions like what is SISSTEM, who is part of SISSTEM, and what SISSTEM means for the Aruban economy.

The Ambassador of the European Union established in Guyana, Mr. Fernando Ponz Cantó, who is in charge of the EU delegation in Aruba, is also interviewed. Mr. Cantó will explain the collaboration of the EU in this project. The Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program’ (UNDP) in Trinidad and Tobago, Mrs. Randi Davis, ‘will also give information on the work of the UNDP within the SISSTEM project.

Professor Doctor Nadine Buys and Professor Doctor Georges Kielen of the Catholic University (KU) in Leuven will also explain the collaboration between the KU Leuven and SYSTEM.

The Program Manager for the Bachelor and Master Programs for SISSTEM.Mr. Eric Mijts, of the University of Aruba,  will provide information about the education programs at the University of Aruba. The interim Director of the Monuments Office, Mr. Raul Gei, will also elaborate on the work of the Monuments Office during this project.
