Update Censo2020

ORANJESTAD - The Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS) is providing an update on how the Census2020 is going so far.

In October 2020, the CBS started the Census2020 with a questionnaire was available for completion online or by phone.

On November 1, 2020, the CBS started with the at-home Census2020, visiting all the households that did not complete the questionnaire online or by phone. In the first two weeks of the in-person Census2020, an average of 250 Census agents visited 21.213 addresses, which provided a headcount of 57.998.

The number of persons counted during the online Census and the first two weeks in November represents 50% of the population. Since there are less than two weeks left before the end of the Census2020, CBS opted to activate the online questionnaire again. The online questionnaire will be available from November 20 to November 30, 2020. Complementing the online questionnaire, the CBS will re-activate their Help Desk number 524-7444, starting November 20 from 8 am to 8 pm.

The at-home visits will also continue as scheduled until November 30, 2020.

The CBS urges the entire community to participate with the CENSUS2020. Now more than ever, it is important for planning purposes to have accurate population data of the current situation in Aruba.
