The purpose of this survey is to gain a better understanding of various topics of interest to children and young people.
This research will investigate various topics, for example, activities for children and the youth in their free time (sports, art, voluntary work), school participation, participation in the labor market, the outlook for the future, relations with their parents, mobile phone use, social media, gaming and the possible consequences of this, the use of cigarettes/vape, alcohol and drug use and mental health. CBS carries out this research for one month.
Children and adolescents under the age of 18 need the consent of their parents or guardian to participate. The pollsters will visit 3.500 homes.
You can identify the pollsters by their badge, which includes their name, photo, poll logo, and CBS logo.
CBS will process collected information anonymously and publish only the statistics in aggregated form. The collected data from the children and young people contributes to improving the availability of information to get a better overview of the developments among children and young people in Aruba. That is why the participation of every child and young person is essential.
UPDATE:
So far CBS has interviewed 3270 children and adolescents at 1918 homes.
