ORANJESTAD – The recent increase of positive COVID cases has led many to self-test.

This may give an accurate result if done correctly.

If you want a self-test, the DVG recommends taking it at least three days after being in contact with a positive person.

To be more accurate, a person should wait for a minimum of 5 days after contact with a positive n order to self-test. If the self-test is positive, the person should solicit a PCR test from the family physician or via the following link: https://covid19test.healthapp.aw/.

If one person in a household test positive, all other household members must go into mandatory quarantine. A negative PCR test does not automatically get you out of quarantine.
