You need an appointment for a car inspection

ORANJESTAD – The Department of Technical Inspections (DTI) informs car owners that for DTI to perform a technical inspection on motor vehicles, you require an appointment. 

You have to make the appointment in person at the DTI.

To make your appointment, you need to bring the following:

  • Valid Insurance;
  • Vehicle registration document from the Tax Department (DIMP);
  • Fee is Afl.50,- (for cars, motorcycles);
  • The inspection fee for trucks varies depending on type and size.

All vehicles used for public transportation should have their valid operating permit and above mentioned documents.

Appointments can be made from Monday to Friday from 07:45 am to 11:30 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at DTI, located at Barcadera 153.

In addition, the DTI reminds everyone that vehicles with a 2020 model year should undergo technical inspection starting this year.
